Being first-generation, I know that access for all students to the best possible education is a powerful way to shape positive outcomes. This belief has guided my entire career. I have spent the last two decades working with students from K-12 to college. I have a MA in Education from UCSC, and an MBA and a BA in History from UC Davis.
I am passionate about the power of education to open doors. I bring both educational training and professional expertise to support school success for career success. I hope to empower parents, teachers, staff and the community to work together to transform student outcomes. From technical to college track, I’m dedicated to helping students learn what they can do today to build the best careers tomorrow.
Our educators, administration and support staff integrally shape the experiences of our students. I am committed to helping develop and/or supporting solutions that enable us to recruit passionate and effective individuals, and retain our high-quality employees who selflessly serve.
My journey in education started by teaching middle school history and coaching track and field in Benicia, CA. I then spent five years working with high school students through a national youth leadership development program where I partnered with teachers and school staff.
I have been working at UC Davis since 2010. As Senior Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the business school, I am responsible for the people, program and strategy supporting 6 graduate programs. I manage a dynamic team focused on high-quality student experience and high-caliber career outcomes. I’m also a proud VUSD parent.
